While we were at Cedar Point this summer, my dad and brother discussed our next family vacation. My brother made a wonderful suggestion - an adult only vacation in Cancun at an all-inclusive resort. My parents liked the idea and are considering it. I was in a dream big mood the other day and decided to look at all-inclusive resorts on the internet. That is when I came across Dreams Cancun Resort and Spa. WOW! That place looks fantastic. Being a dreamy person, I tend to let my champaign taste go wild in my imagination. I am much more practical in real life. I will be happy with whatever my parents decide to do for our vacation as long as I don't have to attend sporting events. The rest of the family would be thrilled to travel somewhere to watch the Cubs play, but Craig and I are not sports fans. Thankfully my family is well aware of my dislike of sports, which makes me the odd duck in the family. I don't think they are likely to deliberately torture me with that type of activity.

Sixteen years ago I went to Cancun on a whopping $600 with a friend who was a travel agent. We stayed in a clean but less than fancy hotel which I am sure was torn down years ago to make room for something nicer. We ate two meals a day at our little hotel bar next to the pool - the only dining experience they had. In the evening we went out on the town and ate and went bar hopping. Now that I am older I would be happy to stay at a resort, float in a pool with a paddle-up bar, eat, sleep, read, and enjoy my family's company. Oh and I really want to go snorkeling and maybe rent a jet-ski, which would not be included in the price of the resort. If my parents decide to book this vacation, I hope they give us enough advanced notice that we can save up the money for those "extras." Ok, back to reality. Time to go to work and see all of my lovely teenagers!
