Orange you glad it's summer?

That is the name of the polish I am wearing. I love reading all of the names of OPI nail polish. Last night I went with Marilyn to get a pedicure. I thought I would wander the mall while she got her pedicure done and then chat with her while she got her nails done. Instead, she treated me to a manicure and pedicure. Pedicures are wonderful. The chair gives your back a massage while your feet and legs are being pampered. It is so relaxing that I almost fall asleep. I really cannot allow myself to fall asleep, because I don't want to drool on myself in a public place... Anyhow, I was wearing a bright orange shirt last night, so I decided to get bright orange nails. This week I will have to wear orange, yellow, and bright green to go with my nails. It is finally beginning to look like summer and my nails are announcing that fact.

Only 5 more weeks of school left!

A Daring Move

In two hours I go to a new hairstylist. Since I used to be a hairstylist, I have been going to my former co-workers to get my hair done. The problem is that I have not been happy with my hair for a very long time. I got bored with my super short spikey style. I let my hair grow out quite a bit, and went to one of my friends and told her she could do whatever she wanted. The result was ok, but I didn't want ok. I grew it out again and went to another friend and told her the same thing. I didn't like it at all. I am not the kind of person who freaks out about haircuts, or color. Hair grows and color can be fixed. I just want something that looks good on my long, narrow face, and isn't flat. Flat hair is not my thing. I prefer messy, chunky hair.

So, one of my friends told me about the salon that she goes to now. The stylist is the son of he owner of the salon I go to now. He is straight, which is unusual for a male hairstylist. He managed his mom's salon for a while when he was younger and then went to Beverly Hills and worked in a salon on Rodeo Drive. Now he is back home, and opened up his own salon. I am walking in there today and telling Tim my hairstyle woes, and letting him cut my hair however he wants. Hopefully I will finally find a style that I love, and can keep it for a year or two. If I like the results, I will post some pictures. Cross your fingers for me.
